Hello! Welcome to my website! A former teacher and children's book editor, I'm now a freelance writer and playwright. 

 

My short plays, including Pass the Horseradish, This Seat Occupied, Lou Bitterman, Attorney at Law, and A Clean Sweep have been performed in theaters across the country, from Nantucket to Hawaii. You'll see a description of my plays on the next few pages.

 

Drawing on my teaching experience, I've written two books for teachers, published by Scholastic Inc., as well as several books for children, and five plays for kids.

 

After receiving my doctorate from Columbia University's Teachers College, I became a member of The League of Professional Theater Women, the Dramatists Guild, the Author's Guild, and The American Society of Journalists and Authors. Some of my plays can be read on the New Play Exchange (NPX).

 

When not writing, I like to dance, especially tap, Zumba, and an interdisciplinary form of dance called Nia.
